Bridgeman says Caldecott was "peculiarly conversant" with settlement cases. His collection of reports was produced as a continuation of Sir James Burrow's Decisions of the Court of King's Bench, Upon Settlement-Cases, which covered the years 1732 to 1776. Several cases reported by Caldecott were decided by Mansfield. Bridgeman cited in Marvin, Legal Bibliography 170. English Short-Title Catalogue T95280.
