An ex-library volume, with call letters on spine and several library stampings within (including cancelled and withdrawn stamps); also, there are a few name notations within from a former owner with the date 1958 (presumably when he acquired this volume from the library's deactivation). In Good condition, with some edge wear and rubbing to exterior boards, several loose pages to front, and front hinge beginning to loosen; but mostly solid and complete with all plates and fold-outs in nice condition (though a couple foldouts have a small closed tear at their edge). This survey was authored by Archibald Campbell, Commissioner, and W.J. Whiting, Corps. of Engineers Chief Astronomer. Includes a General index, several Appendices, and a Catalogue of 500 Stars to rear; plus a short Preface in front featuring a Message from President U. S.
