Four essays by the author, written between 1914 and 1928, and a reprinting of the poem "If" by Rudyard Kipling. The author's heraldic bookplate adorns the front pastedown and pencilled writing on the front free endpaper states: "R.G. Modera, complimentary from Smith-Turberville." With a b.& w. frontispiece plate of the author. A VG+ copy, sound and tight, in original printed paper-covered boards and grey cloth spine. Without dustwrapper, but almost certainly never had one originally. A highly unusual item and very scarce..
