Sobre este artículo

"Requiem For A Nun" by William Faulkner. 1951 true 1st Edition, 1st Printing meeting all first trade edition points (first edition not stated and no other statements of printings on the copyright page; dark gray top edge stain; "Chocktaw" on page 21); Random House; New York. The book comes with its original, un-clipped 1st issue dust jacket (with jacket designer's name misspelled as "M. McKnight Kauffer").

REQUIEM FOR A NUN
This sequel to Faulkner's most sensational, Sanctuary, was written twenty years later but takes up the story of Temple Drake eight years after the events related in Sanctuary. Temple is now married to Gowan Stevens. The book begins when the death sentence is pronounced on the nurse Nancy for the murder of Temple and Gowan's child. Told partly in prose, partly in play form, Requiem for a Nun is a haunting exploration of the impact of the past on the present.

Condition:
Clean covers and spine with no stains; sharp corners. Tight binding. No cracks. No loose pages. Excellent condition text pages - the book nearly appears unread on the inside, clean with no writing, stains or tears found; there is some very light foxing at the upper-left corner of the rear end paper...no other foxing found. Light soiling to covers and spine of the dust jacket; clean flaps; small tears along perimeter; larger tears at the upper corners where the flaps meet the covers. Overall in very good condition

Sinopsis

Requiem for a Nun is a book written by William Faulkner in 1951. Like many of Faulkner's works, Requiem experiments with narrative technique—the book is part novel, part play. The protagonist is Temple Drake, a character introduced as a college student in Sanctuary, one of Faulkner's early novels. In Requiem Temple, now married with a child, must learn to deal with her violent, turbulent past as related in Sanctuary.
