Very good/Near fine. 2 vols. 544 and 508 pages. 22 1/2 X 15 cm. Two fold-out maps, twelve lithographed plates, and wood engraved text illustrations. Complete with half titles and folding tables. In 1835 the author made a geological tour of the Levant with Hugh Edwin Strickland, continuing on his own, the Asia Minor portion of the trip resulted in this work. Hamilton was president of the Geological Society, 1854-1866. He also served as a member of Parliament for Newport, Isle of Wight. ATABEY 552. BLACKMER 779.
