The Rockwell Kent-designed emblem on the title page. With the blue subscription form. Charles Boni started this attractively designed series of modern works in paperback in 1929; in 1930, after 16 titles had been issued, the subscription requirement was dropped and the series was renamed Bonibooks, published by Albert and Charles Boni. This title was the 10th title in the original Charles Boni Paper Books series. Subscription information is on the final unpaginated page. Although originally published in 1923 under the name Michael Ireland, this satirical novel was the work of the Irish writer and political activist Darrel Figgis (1882-1925). In Very Good Condition: spine is sunned; edges are slightly rubbed; back cover is somewhat sunned; pages are clean and tight.
