Jacket a bit edgeworn, with spine faintly sunned; small blind-embossed Galena ownership name/address on front flyleaf. Tight, nice first edition, boldly signed by Eberle in black fineline on the title page. Classic account of modern life in this small (population 3200) northwestern Illinois community -- U.S. Grant's adopted hometown. Uncommon to find signed.
