This novel recreates the events of the October Crisis from the Cross kidnapping through the abduction and murder of Pierre Laporte and the flight of the kidnappers to Cuba. This book focuses on the four young men and the girl who set these events in motion. 261 pp. Last paragraph: "It was, perhaps, the final irony in this Canadian drama. Two men had been kidnapped. The French Canadian lay dead. The Englishman went free." Orange cloth has gilt text on spine. Front ep's show map of the James Cross kidnapping, rear the Pierre Laporte one. Unclipped ($6.95) DJ is scuffed and worn, but no rips. Book is from the collection of Toronto author/poet, Greg Gatenby. His signature and the date of this book's acquisition are on ffep.
