Berkeley: Students for Gay Power, 1970. 8.5x7 inch handbill, penciled date (May 1970) in corner, otherwise very good. "Bet you never figured that trying to hold a dance could be a revolutionary act. Students for GAY Power are holding a dance in Pauley Ballroom for the GAY community and the straight community on May 22. The Administration is giving SGP a lot of trouble; public GAY-ity seems to be a real irritant. Those of you who have thought about the psychological make-up of those who feel threatened by GAYS know where that's at. The dance could also play an important role in our getting it together within the community; it's an opportunity for gays and straights to come together. GAYS are naturally a part of the struggle against oppression.
