Front endpaper is missing and both hinges are cracked with exposed netting. There is cracks to guttering with exposed netting and binding is loose. Boards have visible rubbing and edge wear. Moderate bumping to corners and heavier crushing to spine ends. There is fraying to cloth at corners and spine ends.

Originally published in 1916, Rhymes Of A Red Cross Man is a collec tion of poems based on Robert Service’s experience driving a Red Cross ambulance in France during World War I. Some selections include "The Fool," "Our Hero," "My Mate," "The Convalescent," "Wounded," "The Man From Athabaska," "Carry On," "Bill the Bomber," "The Odyssey of ’Erbert ’Iggins," and "The Stretcher Bearer."
