Giovanni Guerigli, Venetia, Italy, 1619. Edition Unstated. Hardcover. Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text is in Italian. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. First four pages of text marked with small Library stamps, but very discreetly, spine unmarked, in all other respects in good condition throughout. Edition unstated, but appears to be a very early translation, perhaps a First in Italian. Full vellum over boards, spine title "Farmac. del Quercetano", [4], 256 pages, added title page with engraving ("La farmacopea, overo, Antidotario riformato"), a translation from the Latin of "Pharmacopoea dogmaticorum restituta", by Giuseppe Quercetano. Withdrawn from the NLM library, corners and spine ends bumped, front cover curled up at fore-edge, vellum toned, text block edges soiled, a signature on front free end paper,large #24 in red pencil on page facing the added title page, a few pages have light stains which do affect readability, some occasional small spots, but overall, this book is in remarkably good condition.
