Moderate shelf/edge wear to Light Green cloth boards with black titles - corners sharp with wear to all tips and edges. Top and bottom of spine has heavy wear. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. Comprehensive treatise on rifled muskets used between 1861 and 1864 including regulation models, contracted models and the cartridges they used. An excellent resource for the firearms historian as well as dedicated Civil War re-enactors. Respectable vintage First Edition still useful as a reading and research copy. LOC SSM-05
