New York: The Macmillan Company, 1928. Hardcover. 12mo. Light green cloth with dark green lettering and pictorial stamping, pictorial dust jacket. 244pp. Illustrations. Near fine/good plus. Jacket edgeworn and a bit age toned, with several tiny edge chips -- but complete and overall quite fetching. Handsome and super tight early printing of this 1912 classic, a volume in this publisher's "Outing Handbooks" series. The legendary major (1862-1948), Spanish-American War veteran and World War One training officer, penned a number of well-regarded hunting and shooting titles. This early edition quite scarce in a decent jacket.
