To reach any northern point, they must first endure the risk of apprehension by the US Border Patrol an subsequent deportation by the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Dozens for whom the way through inhospitable ranch country was too dangerous are buried in corners of paupers' cemeteries. Some who cross the river drown. Most often, refugees who are unaccompanied or in the hands of commercial smugglers face dangers no matter what course of travel they choose: bus, plane, freight train, highway, boat, or walking. Some refugees stand out and are easily identifiable. Their timidity, unsureness of gait, facial features, out of mode dress, non-local accent in Spanish, eyes filled with fear and anxiety, make them easy prey for the Border Patrol"); The Program; Activities; Expectations; Costs; Accommodations; What to Bring; To Apply..
