Sobre este artículo

London: Sporting Chronicle Office, 1897. 1st Edition . Good Plus. 4 x 6.25 inches (10.5 x 16 cm). First printing. Original card wraps. Wear and slight loss to spine but securely bound. Loss to lower corner of front cover, crease to upper corner. Pages browned and slightly brittle, corners a little dog-eared. Light stain to outer margin of pages 137 to 146, text is otherwise clean throughout. Lower corner of first two pages have been reinforced with a small piece of archival tape to verso. Printing flaw to lower corner of p93/94 (Preston North End) has resulted in some loss of text. Complete with the frontis team photo of Aston Villa, League Champions 1895-1896. Numerous woodcut portraits (of players and team management) within the text. An important and notoriously fragile football title. Includes early histories of 16 clubs: Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Burnley, Bury, Derby County, Everton, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, Preston North End, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, Stoke, Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion, and Wolverhampton Wanderers. A good solid example and very scarce thus. Overall condition is Good Plus. International postage will be less than the stated rate. Actual costs are Europe £11.20; USA £18.10; Oceania £18.05; Rest of World £15.85. A postage refund will be made after the order has been placed. Size: 4 x 6.25 inches (10.5 x 16 cm). Paperback. Printed pages: 158
