Octavo (18cm); hunter green cloth, with titling and decorative elements stamped in gilt on spine and front cover; [8], 179; frontispiece and four illustrations by Harry C. Edwards. Hint of a forward lean, spine ends gently nudged, with light wear to extremities and lower board edges; brief, contemporary ink inscription to front endpaper, with a few splits along rear hinge and 4-digit rubber-stamped price to upper left corner of rear endpaper; Very Good. A novel of "Negroes and Creoles in the delta country of Louisiana" (HANNA 3418). Superb (though uncredited) art nouveau cover. SMITH S-1094.
