Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, showing moderate wear and chipping,sunning to spine, edges, protected by a plastic coat, dust jacket not being price-clipped. Possibly dust jacket from a later printing insofar as it states that this became a book-of-the-month club selection. Bracing account of the forced exodus of Jews from Europe and being strewn throughout the Gobi Desert. Augmented with a bracing duotone illustration at both front and rear endpapers by artzybasheff. Frontis matter + 231 [1] pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
