Rubbing to edges of spine, slight wear to ends of spine. Foxing to page edges. Slight foxing to page edges and endpapers, tanned to free endpapers, clean text throughout. Pencilled inscriptions to front free endpaper (dated 1903) and to title page (dated 1901, predating the official release date of 1902). First printing of this popular collection of Christian meditations. Originally issued in the Pilot magazine, the author died shortly before the publication of this first issue in book form. Rare.
