Sobre este artículo

New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company,, 1935. First edition, first printing, inscribed by the author "For Jimmie Peck, from Marie Louise and with the very best wishes of her friend Munro Leaf 1935" with two small drawings of Robert Francis Weatherbee next to the inscription. Leaf is best known for his 1936 work The Story of Ferdinand, which was published a few months before the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War and is often seen as a pacifist title. Small octavo. Original blue cloth, titles and illustration to front board in red. With the sometime supplied illustrated dust jacket. Illustrated throughout in colour by the author. Spine cocked, spine and head of front board sunned, minor rubbing to board edges; a very good, notably bright copy, in the lightly soiled jacket with chips to spine ends and foot of front panel, unclipped.
