Tightly bound with faint thumb-marking throughout. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Mild crushing to spine ends. Mild scratching and marking to boards. Unclipped jacket has moderate edgewear with chips, tears, and creasing. Notable foxing. Moderate water staining to surfaces. Mild tanning to spine. Notable rubbing and marking all over.

Otherwise the book is in very good condition, block square, binding solid, a very collectible copy.).

Four of the five parts were previously published in Astounding in 1943 with the fifth part (published here as the fourth) appearing in 1948. Part of Kuttner's Gallegher stories. Some light surface wear to the jacket with some rubbing and a few short tears (one to the lower edge around 15mm). A few knocks here and there. Small tape mark to jacket reverse from an old protector, some surface scuffing here also. Collector's plate to the front pastedown, pasted on top of another collector's plate.
