Original three quarter pigskin, upper board titled in gilt. Spine partly perished, rubbing to extremities, repair to bottom corner of page 7, a few marginal paper flaws, else very good. Bookplate of Col. Henry Siegel and another. First edition. 4 full page color plates of landscapes by the author, with line drawings in text. 116pp. 1 vols. Large 8vo. RARE. This is the log Blomfield, an English artist, kept on this trip which started in Chicago on Sept. 13, 1914. He was the guest of Mr. Wroe and during the trip painted "23 studies in oil and water color besides a book full of pencil sketches." First camp was made on Tuesday the 15th on the Madison River, eight miles from Yellowstone. Not in Graff; Phillips p. 46; Bruns, Fly Fisher, volume 5, no. 3, p.32 - "Less than 25 printed for the participants;" Bruns B-180 - "Wroe, the publisher, invited Blomfield on this trip, and was probably host. Sketches of the participants are in the book, the text is in the form of a log kept by Blomfield, Rare."; Streeter 4129
