Sobre este artículo
Hollywood, California: Metro Goldwyn Mayer, 1943. Gelatin silver print of the very young actor Roddy McDowell and the famous Collie Lassie in their roles in the film "Lassie Come Home.". This is an original movie still with the MGM stamp on the verso requesting credit for Clarence S. Bull and a publicity blurb headlined "RODDY GOES TO SCHOOL." Clarence Bull (1896-1979) was the head of MGM's phorography stills department for almost 4 decades. The legendary portrait photographer probably is best known as THE photograper of Greta Garbo, but he was trusted as the primary photographer for many of MGM's stars. His works are held in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, The National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, The Amon Carter Museum of American Art in Fort Worth, and the National Portrait Gallery in London. The photograph is in near fine condition: clean, bright, and crisp, with some minor creasing in the blanK margins and barely a hint of yellowing along the top edge of the image.. Original. Single Sheet. Near Fine. Illus. by Clarence Sinclair Bull. 10" x 8". Photo.
