The Roman See in the Early Church and Other Studies in Church History by William Bright, D.D. Hardback, 1896, first edition, published by Longmans, Green, & Co., London, ix + 490 pages with 16-page publisher catalogue at rear.
Octavo/8vo, measures around 7 3/4" by 5 1/2" by 1 1/2". Burgundy/maroon cloth binding, gilt lettering to spine. A little marking and some scuffing to binding but quite clean and colouring still reasonably vivid, though spine displays much discolouration. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges. Bumped corners. Slackness to binding, some cracking to inner hinges and some wear. Page edges deckled, browned, scuffed and a bit marked. Previous owner bookplate to front pastedown and inscription to recto of front free endpaper. Tipped-in note or errata. The odd pencil number or mark to a few page surfaces but otherwise clean. See pictures for further information.
