Dark green cloth with bold and bright gilt titles on backstrap; clean and unmarked with trace rubbing of some edges; upper rear edge cloth is wrinkled right along edge for about an inch; faint indentation to spine an inch down from the spine head; binding tight and square, corners sharp. Internals as new. Glossy illustrated jacket has light wrinkling to spine head and heel and a small nick to lower front corner. Sir Thomas Malory (1405 - 1471) collected all the ancient tales of the mythical Arthur and published them under the title Le Morte D'Arthur, becoming the definitive account of the Arthurian legends. The epic tale of valor is noted for having been written in the best English prose of the Fifteenth Century. 502 pages. Glossary. 9.5 x 6.25 inches. 1978. Weathervane Books
