Pristinely tight and bright copy of this unique guide to Rome's major monuments and structures. A delightful presentation with fine images of these sites as they appear today and overlays that show their appearance when newly built -- quite fascinating. Rome Visions published an early form of this same concept in 1962, R.A. Staccioli's "A Guide to the Monumental Centre of Ancient Rome, with Reconstructions of the Monuments," and this new version (undated, but likely quite recent) improves upon the archaeological discoveries and knowledge of the past half century. Edition not ascertainable.
