Sobre este artículo

New York & London: Macmillan, 1896. This is a Very Good (Plus) set of the First American Edition. One of several "city" novels written by the great French naturalist. The translation is by Ernest Alfred Vizetelly. (Vizetelly, who often published the copyright editions of various continental authors, had published the English edition in 1888; the title page stresses this as the "sole authorized edition.") Two volumes. Maroon cloth binding, ruled in gilt and with gilt lettering. Clean text; 434 pages and 478 pages, with four pages of publisher adverts in the rear. Rubbing, confined to the head and foot of the spine and tips; spines lightly faded. A very attractive set. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good Plus/No Jacket.
