No publishing date given for this edition. c. 1900. Handy Volume Edition. Volume I goes up through Chapter XLIII The Unseen Madonna. (There are LXXIL Chapters in Vol 1 & 11). Book is in Good Conditon. Clean blue silk cloth binding gilt titled. Lightly scuffed at corners and spine ends. Rear lower edge with faintly wrinkled cloth. Inner hinge cracked--Sewn binding tight and solid. Top edge gilt. Rough cut on fore edge and bottom edge. There is a "35" stamped on the front end paper. FrontIspiece: illustration of an engraving of Romola by George T. Andrew. Interior clean, unmarked, untorn-very nice condition. Pages slightly toned. An historical novel set during the Italian Renaissance, 15th century, in Florence, Italy. 402 pages. 5.25 x 7.75 inches. Estes and Lauriat Publishers, Boston, MA c1900.
