First printing. Book has light handling and storage wear. Very good- unclipped DJ has light creasing and chipping here and there, together with light colour fading to the spine. Signed to a previous owner and year dated by Gruber on the front endpaper. This is not a war story, but it is a story of war, as seen through the author's eyes and through his personal experiences as a British Infantry soldier in the Second World War and what he comes back home to as a returning hero. Very uncommon, especially signed.
