Dark cloth spine. Illustrated with full page color plates and black and white drawings throughout the btext by V. Floyd Campbell. 180 pp. plus three pages publisher's ads featuring the second volume in the series "More About The Roosevelt Bears" and an announcemet for the anticipated third volume "The Roosevelt Bears Abroad". Good to very good, spine lettering rubbed and with wear to the tips The first in this charming series of early 20th century children's books featuring teddy bear chracters Teddy B. and Teddy G., inspired by Theodore Roosevelt. (Roosevelt loathed to be called "Teddy" to his face and the nickname was studiously avoided by family, friends, and aquaintances, but author Eaton claimed in the foreword, "Since the name 'Roosevelt' has been used in the title, it may be of public interest to know that President Roosevelt and his boys have been pleased with the story as it has appeared in serial form.
