Small hardcover is full-bound in vellum over flexible boards with gold spine lettering. Top edges gilt. Both covers have blind-stamped rectangle with crest and motto of Frederick Locker: "Fear God & Fear Nought". Deckle fore and bottom edges. Black & white frontispiece portrait of Locker by George DuMaurier. Title page has title in red. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Light rippling to the velum. Covers have a few small stains and light soiling toward the spine. Pages clean and unmarked. 143 pages. No dust jacket. White cloth-covered slipcase with gold spine lettering is lightly worn and has moderate soiling and small stains. Limitation page states: "One hundred and twenty-seven copies printed in the month of September, 1895. No. 10." Introduction by Austin Dobson. Title page and decorative etchings by Edmund H. Garrett. Printed by the De Vinne Press. Carefully packed, shipped in a box. This item will be shipped with signature confirmation required.
