The first edition of this work. Written by Charles Hasler, an accomplished typographer and book-designer. Illustrated with numerous in-text illustrations, divided into Pre-Norman, Norman, Plantagenet, Interregnum, Tudor, Stuart, Hanover, Saxe-Coburg, and Windsor designs. Enclosed in the original dust wrapper. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely, with just a touch of fading at the top of the spine. Original unclipped dust wrapper is lovely, with some light edgewear and shelf wear to the front of the wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
