Sobre este artículo

Invincible Conservations (1744-1758) Ltd.,1988, 119 p., folding line plates, includes index, beautifully illustrated in colour and bw. Very good/vg. It is about the ship, the wreck and the recovery. Built at Rochefort, L'Invincible a revolutionary design of a 74-gun ship was captured by the British in 1747. She had a remarkable career under the White Ensign. HMS Invincible was lost when she ran aground in the Solent in 1758. The ship was rediscovered in 1979 and yielded a large number of important historic artifacts, adding greatly to the knowledge and understanding of shipboard life in the 18th century. A definitive study of the wreck and salvage work.
