A sequel to "The Prisoner of Zenda" (1894) - Ruritania three years on. "Holds the reader in breathless attention throughout, so spirited, vigorous, and well written is the narrative" (The Graphic, 30th july 1898). Illustrated by Charles Dana Gibson (1867-1944) - he of the "Gibson Girl". Crown 8vo (20cm). 385,[iii]pp. Eight plates. Original blue-green cloth, ruled and lettered in gilt on upper cover and spine; just lightly rubbed and a touch bruised; endpapers a little tanned, but still overall a very good copy. Contemporary (April 1899) ownership inscription of Arthur Davies.

Sinopsis

Rupert of Hentzau is a sequel by Anthony Hope to The Prisoner of Zenda, written in 1895, but not published until 1898.
