Owner's pencilled signature on ffep.. 12mo (190 x 130 / 7_"" x 5""). Anthony Hope Hawkins (1863-1933), known by his given names, is most known for his Ruritanian triology, of which Rupert of Hentzau is the third. The first two are: The Heart of Princess Osra (1896); The Prisoner of Zenda: three months in the life of an English gentleman (1894). With 13 titles by the author listed to half-title page verso, the last of which being 'Simon Dale' (1898), published the same year as this.
Sinopsis
Rupert of Hentzau is a sequel by Anthony Hope to The Prisoner of Zenda, written in 1895, but not published until 1898.
