Sobre este artículo

Two attractive popular pamphlets issued in the days following the February Revolution of 1917, which seek to educate the Russian proletariat about the supposed evils of the Tsarist government, the differences between a monarchy and a republic, and the advantages of the newly forming political system (such as free elections). Particularly interesting is the two-page introduction, which gives a compressed, yet dramatic account of the events of February 1917. The series was conceived as a continuing effort to educate the public about the class interests of various groups, to inform about the "heros" and "martyrs" of the worker's movement, and the governments of other "liberated peoples." Five issues are known to have appeared and were written by different authors; Hoover attributes the authorship of the present two pamphlets to the menshevik M. Sadovskii, who later served in the Military Revolutionary Committee, the first proletarian governing body, created in October 1917 in Petrograd. KVK, OCLC show copies of the first issue at Hoover, Ohio State, Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin and the Swedish National Library only; the second issue is held only by Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, and Hoover.
