Sobre este artículo

Chapel Hill, NC: The University of North Carolina Press, 1950. Reissue with new title . Hardcover in Dust Jacket. Very Good. 8vo (294 pages, index). This is a very good copy of the 1950 reissue in an unclipped dust jacket. There are chips and small tears along the jacket edges, at the corners and at the head and tail of the spine; else fine. Contents fine. signed and inscribed to a previous owner, and dated April 29, 1950, in ink on the title page by author Lida Mayo, who introduces this volume. Mayo worked for the Library of Congress. In 1947, she joined the Military Air Transportation Command as a historian. A 20-year-old reporter when the Civil War began, Townsend later became one of the most popular journalists in the country. This book was first published in 1866 as Campaigns of a Non-Combatant.
