Illustrated with b/w photogrpahs. 302pp. VG condition with Good dj. Jacket is shelfworn with small tears along edges and a 2" closed tear at top of spine and foxing on inside flaps. Black cloth boards have minor sun fading at top of spine. Dust spots to top edge. Foxing where text pages abut photographic pages (two places). Owner name penned to front pastedown and ffep. Otherwise clean, unmarked, square, and securely bound. The author "with an intimate knowledge of the desert, its lore and legend...covers this vast piece of sun-struck geography in all its aspects from prehistory up to the present". (cfm)
