Sobre este artículo

Triangle, 1942. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good+. Vintage wartime Hardcover with DJ, Reprint 1934 Triangle Books New York 306 pages. Near Fine, in a VG+ DJ. Turquoise cloth boards with dark blue spine titles and stick figure of the saint on the front cover - corners sharp. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear and dust soiling (rear panel) to original DJ - now in mylar. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked with even toning to all pages due to wartime paper used. All text block page edges are top-stained blue which is now faded. NOTE: This title, The Saint Bids Diamonds was previously published under the name Thieves' Picnic. The Saint is the nickname of the fictional character Simon Templar, featured in a series of novels and short stories by Leslie Charteris published between 1928 and 1963. The Saint has a dark side, as he is willing to ruin the lives of the "ungodly," and even kill them, if he feels that more innocent lives can be saved. In the early books, Templar refers to this as murder, although he considers his actions justified and righteous, a view usually shared by partners and colleagues. A very handsome wartime copy in DJ.
