London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1971. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. Signed by Author. First UK Edition. SIGNED & INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR TO FELLOW AUTHOR PAUL GALLICO. Publisher's maroon boards with gilt spine lettering. Several, minor bumps to the corners, foxing to the top edge (which has crept into the text block in places) and (to a lesser extent) to the fore-edge otherwise a near fine copy in like D/W. Inscribed by the Author to the title page:: "To Paul Gallico ---/ bestest/ Leslie/ 73.10.10 [together with his customary stick-man doodle]". An uncommon title even more so inscribed by the Author.
