Octavo; pp; 64 select sample pages, including the title page, contents, introduction and various chapters; illustrated; the frontispiece portrait and thirty, (30) pages of black and white plates; decorated blue cloth lettered in gilt with an oval paste-on portrait of Wilson at center upper board; example of the spine on the rear board, half broadside conditions and 12 pages of canvassing sheets;. A variant of Zinman #360; that citation states that the imprint is Chicago and the publisher George W. Noble. On the copyright page the name "Will H. Johnston" appears on both copies.
