Slipcased in the publisher's dark red paper slipcase, extremities worn with some fading and dampstaining, Issued in publisher's stiff paper wrappers printed in black and red, spine lightly worn; fore edge untrimmed. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks, binding tight and solid. Including five poems, "The Faun," "Dying Gladiator," "Portrait," "The Lilacs" and "L'Apres-Midi dun Faune," and three pieces of prose, "New Orleans," "On Criticism" and "Verse Old and Nascent: A Pilgrimage," by William Faulkner, all previously printed in New Orleans magazine "The Double Dealer." With a short poem by Ernest Hemingway printed on the rear wrapper. A lovely fine press edition and the first appearance of its contents in book form. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
