Publishers cloth, title to spine, very minor shelf wear, bit of bump to spine ends, some light toning, else an excellent copy with author inscription to first blank ÒFor Julian Johnson - affectionately! Paul Green - Christmas 1946Ó, also signed by name only on the title page. Original dust jacket with just minor shelf wear, tiny clean tear at top edge over, and some toning to edges, still just about near fine in a protective mylar. Overall, a very nice copy. 21 short stories including a couple ghost stories by the Pulitzer prize winning playwright. Julian Johnson (inscription) was the chief story editor for Fox Studios in the 1920s-1930s.
