Written by Leonard Williams. The Monkey Puzzle: A Family Tree, 1982. First edition. Illustrated with sixteen plates and many in-text figures. A biological mapping of the route from monkey to modern man. Written by John Gribbin, a British scientific writer and astrophysicist, and Jeremy Cherfas, a British biologist. Both texts were previously held in the library of Desmond Morris, an English zoologist, ethologist, and surrealist painter known as a popular author of human sociobiology. In the original cloth binding. Externally, excellent. Original unclipped dust wrappers are very smart with light shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown. Near Fine

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
