Iordan Ivanov (1872-1947) was a Bulgarian literary historian, archaeologist, and one of the topmost experts on Bulgarian medieval history. He was also a Professor at the University of Sofia and the National School of Oriental Languages in Paris and one of the founders of the Bulgarian National Archeological Institute. His current book was the culmination of a 2-year trip (1906-1908) studying and documenting the literary, historical, and ethnographic treasures of the Bulgarians in Macedonia.Ivanov, Iliia "Geografiia na Makedoniia"; Sofiia: Suglasie, 1927.
