Windsor Press, New York, 1932. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Illustrator: Randolph Adler. The text is illustrated with black-and-white illustrations by Randolph Adler. 1/4 beige coloured back strip with red coloured inserts, and within those inserts, gilt coloured titles. Pink coloured tint to all text edges. Gilt and red coloured illustration to the front panel. An abridgement of the monumental diary of Samuel Pepys. Softening and rubbing of the backstrip edges with rubbing of the book corners. Some dust marks to the book panels with fading, due to sunning, to the backstrip. Age toning of the textblock edges and pages. The front text edge has been a little eroded by insect activity  please see photograph. The blue coloured tint has become somewhat faded, and, and at the 1st inch of the textblock, closest to the backstrip has been applied very poorly or not at all. First edition of the work in this format and binding, and/or set or series. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [7], 8 - 192 pages. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Randolph Adler.
