Liverpool University Press, 1949. Hardcover. Good. 1949. No Edition Remarks. 154 pages. No dust jacket. Black cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Contains black and white photographic frontispiece, with other plates throughout. Pages are lightly tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Binding is firm. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Spine and edges are moderately sunned. Gilt is slightly faded, but still legible. Moderate rubbing and scuffing overall, with some noticeable marking also.
