Former owner's name on front free end paper in upper right hand corner. The former owner has also indexed the entire book and has laid it in in the rear of the book.This seminal book in the American wilderness movement was published in the year following the author's death helping a neighbor fight a fire. Therefore, there is no such thing as a copy signed by the author. This book is becoming quite scarce in the first edition.
Sinopsis
A Sand County Almanac is a 1949 non-fiction book written by American ecologist and environmentalist Aldo Leopold. Describing the land around Leopold's home in Sauk County, Wisconsin and his thoughts on developing a "land ethic," it was edited and published by his son, Luna, a year after Leopold's death from a heart attack. The collection of essays is considered to be a landmark book in the American conservation movement.
