From Sand Hill to Pine, Boston: Houghton Mifflin/Riverside Press, 1900. 12mo, first edition, pp. [viii], 327, 2 (ads) brown cloth boards with gilt lettering to spine, black rule, lettering and floral decoration to front, label on front pastedown identifying this as part of the Estelle Doheny Collection of American Literature. Doheny, wife of the oil baron played by Daniel Day Lewis in "There Will Be Blood," amassed a valuable collection that was dispersed in auctions in the 1980s after she died. See BAL 7394. Condition of this book: A few small nicks and a barely visible waterstain in front board, else fine. Size: 12mo. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
