A remarkably handsomely produced reprint edition published in 1974 of the original, true First Edition published in 1873, bound in green leatherette, with black and gilt lettering and illustrations to cover and spine. Linen ribbon bookmark sewn in. Housed in a simple cardboard slipcase covered in the same green leatherette, in Near Fine condition. Facsimile reprint that is replete with the same black-and-white illustrations (mostly engravings) as in the original. The author was author of several Central America-themed tomes. xxix [2], 2-511 pp., followed by 2 pp. of original publisher's ads at end.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
