Cundall 354a. Smith H67 (for first edition): "The first nine chapters give history and geography, but in the remainder of the chapters, the author tells of his travels and observations as a member of a commission sent out by the U. S. Government to examine and report on the island." The work covers the whole island with very interesting illustrations. A picture of this book is available on request by email.
